Why Do Seconds Count...?

Seconds count for all alarm users and companies in the areas of:

Equipment Selection: The equipment selected and the devices selected result in how quickly an potential threat (fire or intrusion) is detected. 60 seconds may make all of the difference in detecting fire and stopping an attacker from getting to you. Also, many manufacturers have built in, unremovable delays on alarm systems that further delay the alarm from being called in to the authorities by as much as 90 seconds. This means that poor design and poor equipment selection can delay an alarm system from doing its designed task for up to 2 minutes. A&E, as a designer of custom alarm systems, ensures that each and every installation is designed around your needs and how you use your home or office. We want your design and equipment to communicate potential emergencies as quickly as possible.

The alarm company and Central Monitoring Station: Not all monitoring companies and alarm companies are equal. A&E, as a UL® (Underwriters Laboratories) Approved Central Station, is required by code in many cases to notify the authorities within 60 seconds of an alarm. Many alarm companies are not UL® Listed and are simply customer service centers - meaning that they attempt to deal with alarm signals on a first come, first serve basis. If you have a fire alarm or intrusion, having the authorities called within seconds - instead of minutes - can make all the difference in apprehending an intruder or saving a home from fire.

You, the user: Again, not all alarm companies and monitoring companies are equal. If you've inadvertently caused a false alarm, the ability for you to get a quick answer from a live operator after a call to the Central Monitoring Station can make all the difference in successfully cancelling an unnecessary call to the authorities. Your reputation with the police, fire and emergency medical services can become tarnished if your central station is slow and unresponsive, and unable to cancel the request for response by the authorities prior to their arrival.

Police, Fire, and Emergency Medical Services: We are all human. If you have an excessive number of false alarms, or your alarm provider or monitoring company has a poor reputation with the authorities, you will receive slower response times. Why? Because the authorities will assume that the call they're receiving from your monitoring company is another false alarm caused by either the user or the equipment... meaning that they can afford to wait another five or ten minutes to respond.

Seconds do count.

A&E Security and Electronic Solutions recognizes that each second counts and are committed to each part of the system (equipment, provider, monitoring station, customer, and the authorities) connected and trained in the most efficient manner possible. This is probably the reason you see A&E protecting more homes and business than any other provider in Yamhill County.
